What we collect
When you use our form, we collect what you enter: your name, email, phone number, state, county or city, ZIP code, and the details you give about your situation (for example, whether you have children, whether the divorce is contested, and what kind of help you want). We also record your IP address, browser type and the time you submitted, as a record of your consent to be contacted.
How we use it
We use your information to connect you with divorce attorneys, mediators and divorce service providers who serve your area, and to keep records of your request and consent.
Who we share it with
We share your request with participating professionals in your area, who pay us to advertise. They may contact you by phone, text or email. We also use service providers, such as hosting and email delivery, that process data on our behalf. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices, including "Do Not Sell or Share"
Because professionals pay us to receive requests, sharing your information with them may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state privacy laws, including California's. You can ask us to stop sharing, to tell you what we hold about you, or to delete it. Email privacy@adivorce.com with the subject "Privacy request". We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
To stop texts from a professional, reply STOP to their message. To stop being contacted at all, contact the professional directly and email us.
How long we keep it
We keep request and consent records for up to 5 years, to show that you consented to be contacted, and then delete them.
Security
Information is sent over HTTPS and stored with access limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
